If you love Art Deco Asian, this is a very, very lovely piece! Circa 1920s-1930s, this five panel hand spun silver vermeil bracelet is bezel set with three high rise green floral vegetable and elephant carved jade cabochons. An export from China during the Art Deco era.
The hinged panels wrap securely and comfortably around the wrist. The design ensures a no twist - no turn fit. The jade panels remain top side.
The spun silver work is exquisite! Finely spun silver wires worked into an intricate lacy and floral patterns. Three substantial green carved flower jade cabochons with wonderful composition and color are protected top side by high bezel sides and at back, with lacy oval frame work. The vermeil (gold over silver) finish remains intact, with minimal age appropriate wear.
The bracelet measures 6 3/4 inches on the inside x 2 inches at it's widest point with a push in box type clasp and safety chain. Extra safety chain can be added to to make it larger if need be. The jade cabs are over an inch in length - going left to right and almost 3/4 inch. She weighs in at a hefty 46.4 grams. The bracelet is signed on the box clasp "SILVER."
The condition is excellent vintage antique. All components are intact beautifully. The jade cabs are free from chips, nicks, cracks or breaks.
Bezels and stones are extremely secure. All spun silver work is quite pristine with no issues and quite beautiful. Panel hinges are strong and secure. All panels have retained shape with no dents, bends, or collapses.
The bracelet push in clasp and safety chain are strong and secure. Silver vermeil finish is very lovely! The front and back shows minimal age. No damage or repairs have been made to this lovely piece. A true Art Deco era Chinese jade bracelet.
