Exceptional Art Deco filigree at its finest by Ostby Barton. This beautiful sterling silver bangled, hinged bracelet is intricately designed with an approximate 13ct. (17mm x 13mm) glass, beautifully faceted center piece that replicates synthetic pink sapphire, which was at its peak in the Art Deco era!
The bracelet opens and closes with a snap with extreme ease and has a tongue and groove clasp. It has the original catch chain for extra protection. It measures 1” wide at the centerpiece and 5/8” at the band. The hinge moves freely and perfectly aligns. This bracelet will fit a wrist size of 6.5” comfortably.
Going around the bracelet in the center is a delicate floral and leaf design that is woven throughout the filigree. The center stone is in amazing condition with beautiful faceting to catch different light angles and is an amazing fuchsia pink color, to represent synthetic pink sapphire.
I seriously don’t think that this bracelet was worn much, if ever as it is in exceptional condition. It is signed OBSTERLING next to the hinge. Has a very light patina which give it a stunning appearance as it is hardly noticeable. Just an amazing piece from Ostby & Barton!
It is a fine example of early 20th century American Filigree work as only Englehart Ostby could design, which makes these pieces so desirable and sought after. This bracelet is very rare and hard to find, especially in such fine condition! Very nice & rare piece...don't let this opportunity pass you by! $359.00
